The wool is cleaned, dyed and carded. Using a felting needle (straight needle with barbs cut along the shaft) and a foam block, the needle is repeatedly pushed into the wool fibres. The barbs pull the fibres down, and interlock them. This process is repeated many times and done in different directions to create the desired form.

The process takes many hours, and by interlocking different colours, types, and textures of wool, anything from wearable designs to sculptures can be created. Each piece is unique.
